who's who?

Equipment Co-ordinator

Di began running seven years ago to get fitter after a couch potato crisis, and found to her amazement that it was really good fun, and so was encouraged to join Pocklington Running Club. As running is infectious, her family started to join in and when her son asked to run she took him along to juniors and found that this was something they could share (until he got faster!) Di now helps with the coaching of the 8 - 10 year olds and am very excited to be following a coach training programme to support the juniors in whatever way she can.

Club Development/Publicity Co-ordinator
Tracey has run with the senior club for four years and was delighted to complete her first marathon this year. She became involved with the junior section when her sons developed an interest in running and will shortly by undertaking a Coaching Assistant course that will equip her with the skills to coach the Under 12's in the club.

Coach / Volunteer Co-ordinator

Debbie has run with the senior club for four years and has enjoyed participating in many races and continues to do so. She has run 10k races, half marathons, marathons and also completed ultra marathon distances.

As part of her commitment to the Juniors section, Debbie is hoping to complete an assistant coaching qualification in the near future.

Treasurer / Subscriptions

Sharron began running with the senior club herself 2 years ago but has many more years experience of being a supportive running widow! She became involved with the junior section about a year ago as a volunteer helper primarily as her two daughters attended the club but became more involved during the recent restructuring and is now a regular. She plans to do the assistant coach training course in the near future to be able to support our lead coach in delivering the structured training our young athletes need.

Membership Co-ordinator

Patrick has been running competitively for about eight years and races over distances from 5k to 50k both on and off-road. He has been actively involved with the junior section of the club for about 4 years and is keen to pass on his passion for running to the younger generation. Patrick is a UKA qualified ‘Leader in Running Fitness’ and focuses on leading the sessions for the 12 years and over groups.
